Angelina Jolie Revealed That She Feared For The Safety Of Her Children During Her Marriage To Brad Pitt And Has Felt Traumatized And “Broken” For “The Last Decade”

Angelina Jolie briefly addressed her allegations of domestic abuse against Brad Pitt and stated that she feared the safety of their children.
Angelina, speaking candidly to The Guardian last weekend, admitted that she is feeling broken by the ongoing custody battle following her 2016 divorce filing.

Angelina and Brad were first romantically involved in 2004. Fans were shocked when Angelina filed to divorce in September 2016, citing irreconcilable disagreements.

Five years later, the couple, who are legally divorcing, still seem to be involved in a turbulent dispute regarding legal custody of their five minor children. Pax (17), Zahara (16), Shiloh (15) and twins Vivienne (13). Maddox, their 20-year-old son, is not included in custody rulings as he is no longer considered a minor.

Many fans were shocked to hear that Brad and Angelina had split in 2016. Some speculated that there may have been an affair or another incident. Jon Voight, Angelina's father, stated to BuzzFeed News at the time that something had to have happened.

Later, it was discovered that Angelina's decision to file for divorce came after a Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services complaint alleging child abuse against Brad.

Brad was later cleared of all charges in relation to an incident that Brad and Maddox, their oldest son, allegedly occurred on a private flight from the US to Europe. According to many reports, Angelina filed for divorce five days after the incident occurred.

Brad told the FBI that he had yelled at his son but that he didn't intend to harm his wife or their other children.

Actor has since admitted that he had alcohol problems at the time. He attended Alcoholics Anonymous after the divorce.

The Blast also obtained legal documents earlier this year that claimed that Angelina had confirmed that she was willing to provide proof and authority for the domestic abuse allegations against her ex-husband.

Angelina now speaks out about the ongoing custody battle, and allegations of abuse. She told the Guardian: "I... Im still in my legal situation."

I was in America with my children, and I remember thinking, "Human rights, children's rights," the mother of six said. This seemed to be in reference to an alleged incident of abuse.

I was reminded of the rights of the child and pulled them out. I thought, "Well, these are for when you're in a situation where there is support for the kids in your life." She continued.

The US had not ratified the rights for the child. It affects children in many ways. A child living in Europe would have better chances of being heard in court than one born in California. She added that this said a lot about the country.

The actor apologized when she was asked about the subject and said that she could not speak more directly due to the ongoing legal battle.

Angelina, however, refused to speak up, even though she was sworn to silence when Angelina was asked if it was about her divorce from Brad or the abuse allegations against him.

She answered yes to the question, "For my family." My entire family.

I'm not the type of person to make decisions like those that I had to make. She said that it took me a while to reach the point where I felt that I needed to leave my father.

Angelina has been vocal about her decision not to divorcé Brad in the past, telling Vogue India last January that it was for her well-being and the benefit of her children.

She admitted that her divorce from Brad was difficult and that it left her feeling hurt.

She replied that the past five years since her divorce were the most emotionally draining. There's so much I can't say.

She said that even though you and a few close friends are the only ones who know the truth about your life, how you fight for it, what you have suffered or what you've done, you can find peace with that.

It's been so horrible that it almost seems like a blessing to be able fight this system. It doesn't begin with the violation [the incident on the plane]. She said that it is much more complicated than that because of ongoing custody disputes. For example, my 17-year old daughter has been denied the right to speak in court.

After Angelina was criticised earlier this year by family law lawyers who did not agree with Angelina's wish for her children testifying in court against her father as part of the custody battle, the Guardian profile was created.

Angelina suggested that her children would not be allowed to testify if they wanted to. Her lawyers claimed that three of the children had asked to testify.

She said that she does not want to be involved in legal disputes or ongoing custody conflicts. All she wants is for her family and Brad to heal.

It's not that it is something I would like to discuss, but I want my family to heal. All of us need to move forward, even their dad. We should all be able to heal and live in peace. She said, "Well always be a Family," at the end.

The activist shared what seemed like promising news with Harpers Bazaar 2019 that she bought a house in California for her children to be close to Brad. She said: Right now, I have to base myself where their father wants to live.

In a surprising development in the custody battle between the ex-spouses, Brad asked for a review of the California appellate court ruling that disqualified the private judge Angelina and he chose to supervise their custody dispute.

This is after Judge John Ouderkirk was removed from the custody case. He had previously made many decisions that allowed Brad to spend more time with his children.

Angelinas lawyers argued that Judge Ouderkirk, who had been a private judge for them and officiated their wedding, was disqualified.
