Since the inception of Google's wearable strategy it has relied on other OEMs for the hardware torch. But that doesn't mean Android Wear and Wear OS fans haven't been asking for a official smartwatch from Google. After years of rumors about a Google-branded wearable, which always ended in disappointment for Wear OS users, 2021 may be the year that a Google Pixel Watch will finally arrive. We know very little about the Pixel Watch.

We don't know anything about a Pixel Watch from Google at this time. There have been many leaks and information that point to this year as the year that a Google-branded smartwatch, along with the Pixel 6, will be released. While there is no official release date for the Pixel Watch, we can look at past Google hardware announcements as well as recent Pixel 6 leaks to get an idea of when. VPN Deals: A lifetime license for $16, and monthly plans starting at $1. In the past, Google's Pixel launch events were held in October. The Pixel 5 announcement took place on September 30th, but it wasn't released until several weeks later. The Pixel 6 event is certain to take place soon. The only question now is whether or not the Pixel Watch will be available at the same moment and what Google has planned for it. When will the smartwatch go on sale? This question is more complicated than we think. If the Pixel Watch is announced at the same time as the announcement timing, sales will likely start a few weeks later, most likely in October or November. This is how Google has done it with its previous Pixel devices. Fingers crossed, this year we will see a quick turnaround. Pixel Watch: Prices

The expected Pixel Watch's cost is still unknown. We can only speculate as this is Google's first attempt at making its own smartwatch. Google could adopt a middle-range approach to the Pixel Watch, as it did last year with the Pixel 5. However, most information indicates that the Pixel 6 will be a premium Pixel. The Pixel Watch will be priced as a premium or high-quality device, which makes sense. Samsung showcased the first Wear OS watches for the Galaxy Watch 4 series, and they are definitely not mid-range. Apple Watches and Galaxy Watches are typically in the $250-$400 range, with Apple's watches being higher. It's not surprising that the Pixel Watch falls within this range. Google could target budget-minded shoppers with its Fitbit brand. Pixel Watch: Models

We haven't seen any evidence that Google plans multiple models for the Pixel Watch at this time. It seems that the Pixel Watch will only be available in one model, unlike Samsung who has offered several options and currently sells both the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and 4 Classic. Pixel Watch: Design Although we expect to only see one model of the Pixel Watch in production, if rumors are true, there may be more than one color option, but just one design. To give us a look at the rumored Pixel Watch, renders were released earlier this year.
The watch has a minimalist design with very few bezels, as you can see from the photos. Google may also opt for a single button, although it is possible that it will be a rotating crown. The watch case will come in two colors: black and silver. The watch strap attaches to this watch with a unique way that is one of the most striking features. Although the renders show the strap being attached directly to the watch case, it is not ideal and will make it difficult to swap out watches bands. These images are not official and we hope the final Pixel Watch design will use a more universal strap attachment strategy like other Android smartwatches. Pixel Watch: Software and specs
