"The match commissioner and the referee will submit a report the Fifa Disciplinary Committee. This will establish the next steps. These procedures adhere strictly to the current regulations.

Brazilian regulations require that visitors who arrived in the UK within the last 14 days must be quarantined for 14 days upon arrival.

According to AFP, Antonio Barra Torres (director at Brazil's health regulator Anvisa) said that "We reached this point because everything ANVISA directed, starting from the first moment was not fulfilled."

"The officials instructed the four players to remain isolated while they awaited deportation. They did not comply. The official said that they went to the stadium and entered the field in a series if breaches.

"We were never notified that we couldn't play"

After the game was suspended, Brazil's players began an impromptu training session

Argentina's boss Lionel Scaloni stated that it was disappointing that no resolution could be reached before the game began.

He said, "It makes my heart very sad." "I'm not looking for any suspect. It doesn't matter if something happened.

"It should have been open to all, and allowed everyone to see the best players from around the world. I want the people of Argentina understand that I am a coach and must defend my players.

"We were not notified at any time that they could not play the match. We wanted to play the match. The Brazilian footballers also wanted to."

"What a ridiculous way to celebrate one of the greatest games in world football.

"The game started and we were only five minutes in. A few health officials walked onto the field and it was clear that we weren't going to be playing today.

"Argentina, who are playing against Bolivia on Thursday, have made it to the airport in style, but they have not played the game."
