Comedian Fuquan Johnson among 3 dead from apparent overdose involving fentanyl: report

According to a report, Fuquan Johnson, a comedian and veteran, died of an overdose on Friday after attending a party at Los Angeles.
TMZ reported that a fourth person, comedian Kate Quigley was admitted to critical condition. Johnson and two other victims were declared dead on the spot by authorities.

Although officials have not yet released the causes of death, TMZ reports that they may have ingested cocaine laced fentanyl.

To determine the cause of death, the L.A. Coroners Office is conducting autopsies.

Johnson was 42 years old. Two other victims are not known.

According to Quigley, Quigley lived next-door at a house.

TMZ identified Quigley as the girlfriend of Darius Rucker. A rep for Rucker told the outlet that the couple are not currently in a relationship.

Johnson is best known for his stand-up comedy and was also credited with writing a 2020 episode on Comedy Parlour Live: Querantine Edition.

According to some reports, Johnson and Quigley were friends.
