Trump Gripes About Losing Ungrateful Catholic, Jewish Voters On Call With Religious Advisers

Donald Trump, irritated, complained to religious leaders during a campaigning call about losing votes from unreligious Catholics and Jews in 2020's election. He repeated his claim that he won.
I did a lot of things for the Catholics. I'm a little surprised that we didn't do better in the Catholic vote," Trump stated on Thursday's recorded call (above), initiated by Paula White, his controversial rightwing adviser and televangelist.

Trump stated that he thinks we received about half of the [Catholic] votes. The conference call was hosted by Intercessors for America, and first reported by Religious News Service.

Yet, we did a lot to help the Catholic vote. We will have to meet with them. Trump mumbled, "We are gonna have to speak with the Catholics." This was clearly a sign that he plans to run for president again. At one point, he stated that he was optimistic that we would be back.

He was also annoyed at Jewish voters.

Trump said, "Look at what I did with Jerusalem's embassy and with so many other things Israel has never had better friends." He also stated that Trump received 25% of the vote. They need to come together. It is necessary to have a bit more unity among the various religious groups represented at this call.

White and Trump have announced the creation of a National Faith Advisory Board consisting of religious leaders, including members of the call. It is a clone Trump's White House Faith and Opportunity Initiative. According to the Jewish Daily Forward, the group sent an email Monday pledging that it would fight President Joe Biden's anti-faith agenda.

Trump also criticized Biden's record regarding religion and churchgoing. Trump said that a lot of things have been done in relation to faith and religion. Trump did not provide any details.
