'Ted Lasso' actor hilariously responds to the 'CGI' conspiracy theory

Fans of Apple TV+'s Ted Lasso discovered a new conspiracy in a classic example of the internet going full-on internet: Brett Goldsetin, an actor and writer, is not the real Roy Kent.
This theory was popularized on Reddit, and then more recently, on Twitter. It focuses on the fact Goldstein...looks fake in Ted Lasso's footage. In Season 1, Goldstein's Roy Kent character looks "100% CGI" as he "glows" on the screen and "imported straight out of FIFA."

As more people added their "proof" of Roy Kent being CGI, Ted Lasso filmed footage that made Roy Kent look like a "fake little man" who lives in the computer.

Brett Goldstein, "Actor", finally responded to the rumors by posting a video on Twitter. He stated that he was a "completely genuine, normal human man who just happens live in a VFX home and does normal human basic tasks like rendering and buffering." Hm.

Since I have seen a few screeners of Ted Lasso episodes that were not quite finished, Roy Kent looks fake. It is because a lot of Roy Kent's backgrounds and sets are green screen and CGI.

In the video above, you will see that the majority of the football fields are simply normal fields with green screens around the perimeter. This allows the VFX team to add LED billboards or replicated crowds. Even indoor scenes, particularly in characters' windowsed offices, are green screen. This means that many characters may have a few moments where the lighting is a little off for the untrained eye.

Okay, did you all get that? Dope. Let me grab my phone quick and accept the enormous amount of money that a mysterious donor promised would be transferred into my Apple Pay account if this article was published. Easiest money I've ever made. (Editor's Note: Anyone who wants to go full-on internet about this comment should know that Alexis is making fun of it.
