Google has a lot of great apps for smartphones. Although apps are not perfect and there can be bugs, Google cannot seem to get its apps or services to work. Some apps, and even some phones, can become useless because something important keeps breaking.
We have noticed a few bugs in Google this week and want to hear from you if you have dealt with them.
Google Messages has been a problem for some time. It refuses to connect to RCS and leaves users without the necessary chat features such as real-time typing indicators, read receipts and high-resolution media. Instead, the app will try to verify or connect to RCS but it won't.
The Google Clock app has another, perhaps more annoying bug. Although it may not be as important, many people depend on the Google Clock app to set their alarms. Users claim their alarms no longer go off, even when the volume is turned up. Many alarms won't display an upcoming event and will simply show "missed" instead of actually ringing.
This problem seems to only affect Google Clock Android app, and not Google smart displays such as the Nest Hub (2nd Generation).
We've also noticed bugs that cause phones to become unresponsive and leave them in EDL mode.
