Tokyo Paralympics: Shooter Manish Narwal clinches India's 3rd gold, Singhraj Adhana bags silver

India's third Paralympics gold medalist Shooter Manish Nawal won the silver for Singhraj Adana, while Singhraj Adana took home the silver in Saturday's P4 Mixed 50m PistolSH1 event.

Narwal, 19, shot 218.2, a Paralympic Record, to win the yellow metal. Adana, who won bronze in Tuesday's P1 men’s 10m air pistol SH1 competition, added another silver to his collection with a 216.7 effort.

Sergey Malyshev, Russian Olympic Committee, took home the bronze medal with a score of 196.8. Adana, who had a total score of 536 in the qualifying round, advanced to the medal round with fourth place. Narwal, however shot 533 to be seventh at Asaka Shooting Range.

Akash, the other Indian in action, was unable to make it to the final. He finished 27th in qualifying.

The pistol can only be held with one hand, so athletes in the SH1 category may have an impairment that affects one arm or both legs.

P4 is the classification for mixed 50m air pistol competition.

Some shooters compete from a seated position while others aim in a standing position.
