Transfer Talk: Leipzig's Dani Olmo wants new chance at Barcelona

The top European leagues have closed the summer transfer window! Many clubs waited until the very last minute to complete their transfers after a busy summer of international football. Check out our evaluation of the most important signings and all the deals. The window will close in January but that doesn't mean that rumors won't continue to circulate.
TOP STORY: Olmo looks forward to a new opportunity with Barca

Deadline Day is a great day for things to move fast, but Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig went a little too far. Mundo Deportivo reports, he agreed to join Barcelona without looking at the contract terms.

The Catalans are in financial trouble, so the La Masia-trained midfielder would have to take a pay cut. But that didn't matter to them.

The 23-year old was keen to join Barca, and it is possible that this will happen in the future, particularly with the Spanish giants being grateful for his initial approach.

Olmo would prefer to move as soon as possible, but it is believed that the fact that he could not merely allows Barcelona and RB Leipzig to take more time in negotiating a deal that benefits all parties.

Joan Laporta finds the ability of the Spain international to feel the Barcelona club colours to be particularly attractive after watching Pep Guardiola's team with cules win.

He was so determined to sign Eric Garcia, and even considered bringing In Hector Bellerin (who is currently on loan from Arsenal to Real Betis) despite having the right-back position covered.

PAPER GOSSIP

Calciomercato reports that Internazionale may sign Eintracht Frankfurt's Filip Kstic to replace Ivan Perisic. Simone Inzaghi, Inter coach, has already secured Joaquin Correa's loan of 5 million with a 25m repayment from his former employers. This could make them disappointed once more.

According to Pedro Almeida, Fenerbahce has approached Rafinha's agent in order to learn more about his situation at Paris Saint-Germain. Brazilian forward Rafinha was not selected for the French giants' Champions League squad. This seems to be a sign that he may be available.

Calciomercato reports that Inter Milan was open to a Giacomo Raspadori move, but could not afford to do so as Sassuolo wanted 25m. Inter is already exploring ways to sign the striker in January. However, there is a chance that his price will rise as he only scored 32 minutes during the Serie A season. Inter may consider including some of their younger talents in a swap deal.

Pro Sport reports that Hatem Ben Arfa may be in line to sign for Rapid Bucharesti. Although many will fondly remember the Frenchman, he is now free after leaving Bordeaux at the end of this summer's contract. Rapid is said to have offered the 34-year old Rapid a one year contract at 15,000 per week with an option for an additional year.

According to Le10Sport, Romain Philippotteaux, a Brest midfielder, will join Dijon on loan for the remainder of the season. The deal will include an option to sign Philippotteaux permanently, it is reported. Bastia, Le Havre, and Amiens also expressed interest.
