EA has been developing a mobile version of its Battlefield games since April. It plans to release it sometime in 2022. The publisher revealed new details about the title this week.
EA will begin beta testing Battlefield Mobile in the fall, with a series smaller playtests that involve players from Indonesia and the Philippines using Android phones. The company stated that as we continue to test, we will expand the size and add more regions.
Initial beta testing will only include Grand Bazaar, a map of the franchise's signature Conquest mode, and a single map. EA promised that they would share additional information about maps and modes closer the Battlefield Mobiles 2022 launch date. The company said that the game will be free to play and only contain cosmetic items. Some of these items can be earned through seasonal battle passes. Battlefield Mobile will not allow crossplay between the PC and console versions of Battlefield. It was designed specifically for mobile.
