Since Fortnite's new season launched in June, there have been rumors of an alien invasion. Epic has finally teased the big event with Operation: Sky Fire. Epic said that the event would be a massive conflict with an alien group. Epic recommends that players log in early to secure a spot.
These live events have been a highlight in Fortnite since the launch of the rocket in 2018. Ever since then, players have seen erupting volcanoes, battle giants, floods, and even fought Galactus, the Marvel supervillain. Epic even tried single-player events. Epic has teased the upcoming alien event for some time. A giant mothership hovered quietly over Fortnite for months. Several locations were also destroyed by the invasion.
This event also marks the end of Fortnite season 7. If you have any battle pass characters or gold bars that you want to spend, make sure you do so before September 12th. Aside from aliens, there have been some other notable Fortnite moments like the Ariana Grande concert series, and the introduction of Impostors, a controversial mode.
