Android Central was recently notified by a reader about issues that Android users are having with Google's stock Clock app for the past week. We were referred to Reddit by a tipter who pointed us to the r/GooglePixel thread where the issue was being addressed. He also spoke of the recent spate of 1-star reviews for the app on the Google Play Store.
Clock app users are complaining that their alarms aren't working as they expected. They also complain that they don't receive alarm notifications. Some users also complained that alarms no longer work with Spotify playlists. Others speculate that Spotify integration may be to blame.
The bug appears to have only just surfaced in the last week, as all the negative comments on Reddit and Google Play are from that time. Despite these unhappy customers, the Clock app has a 4.0 rating as of this writing.

It might be worth looking into a backup alarm clock if you have been affected by the alarm clock bug. The Nest Hub (2nd Generation) and the Echo Show 5 (2nd Generation) are two of our favourite alarm clock options. Both were designed for use on a nightstand and serve as backups to your phone’s alarm clock.
The Nest Hub (2nd Generation) can also use its Soli radar sensors for sleep analysis. This will give you a better understanding of how well you are sleeping throughout the night. These features can be found on smartwatches and fitness trackers, as well as alarm clocks that double up as reliable watches.
