Euro 2020: England v Italy final watched by more than 300 million

Uefa revealed that the Euro 2020 final attracted a global audience of 328 millions people.

England's Gareth Southgate made it to the final before Italy beat them on penalties at Wembley.

Uefa reported that the tournament had received 5.2 billion global views, with an average of 100,000,000 per match.

Uefa stated that "the incredible TV figures demonstrate the huge appeal not just in Europe, but around the world."

The UK audience reached 30.95million for the final. An average of 29.85million watched the entire game between England and Italy.

Additionally, there were 7.5 billion interactions across social platforms. Uefa's official accounts also posted two billion views during the tournament.

Guy-Laurent Epstein, Uefa's marketing director, stated that the tournament has a worldwide audience, which is growing, especially in North America and Asia where [the Euros] continues to expand."

"We also noticed an increase in the number of people accessing streaming services to watch matches."
