John Smoltz, Al Leiter won't appear in studio for MLB Network after refusing COVID-19 vaccine

Multiple reports claim that Al Leiter and John Smoltz are not appearing in-studio for MLB Network because they refused to receive the coronavirus vaccine.
MLB Network's policy requiring all employees to get vaccinated went into effect Wednesday. Smoltz, Leiter, and others will continue to do studio show analysis, but this time it will be remotely from Secaucus, New Jersey studio.

The New York Post reported the story first. MLB Network did not respond to an email from the AP.

54-year-old Smoltz is also the lead analyst for Fox's coverage on the MLB. He makes the calls on the most important games, including the World Series.

Leiter, 55, also serves as a Mets advisor.

Since 2009, Leiter has been part of MLB Network. Since 2009, Leiter has been part of MLB Network. Smoltz joined MLB Network in the next year. He is a member of Fox's top MLB team.
