DC Superheroes, Gremlins, More Come to ACME Night TV Block

Sunday evenings don't have to be spent in existential fear of the week ahead. They are for both children and adults to gather and watch Warner Bros.-produced content. Families should meet up at 6:06 pm ET on September 19, as that is when Cartoon Networks Acme Night programming block starts. It sounds like there will be lots of worthwhile content.

According to a WB press release Acme Nightnamed after Wile E.Coyotes preferred manufacturer of anti-Road Runner weaponspremieres with 2019's Shazam movie on September 19. The movie will be followed by family-friendly blockbusters like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Sherlock Gnomes. This raises the question of whether Warner Bros. have somehow reduced the family-friendly Man of Steel to a PG rating or if they've finally sunk so low that kids can watch Superman kill a man who is only seconds from killing a family.

It gets even better. Acme Night will premiere the previously announced Aquaman:King of Atlantis three-part miniseries. It also features: Bruce Timms new animated Batman take on Batman; the prequel series Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai; Genndy Taktakovskys upcoming action cartoon Unicorn: Warriors Immortal; as well as the Harry Potter Wizarding World Competition Event Series quiz. These shows were originally scheduled to debut on HBO Max. However, the streaming service will not make them available until 2022.

For new content, Merry Little Batman is all that matters. Official summary: A family-friendly animated comedy that is sure to be a part of the classic holiday movie rogues' gallery. Six-year-old Damian Wayne is left alone in Wayne Manor and must transform into Little Batman to protect his home and Gotham City against the super-villains and crooks determined on destroying Christmas.

Cheryl Eddy, our Cheryl Eddy, pointed out that it is basically Batman: Home Alone. And we are all here for it. The new Looney Tunes sci fi movie, which is yet to be released, might get you excited.

Planet Earth is under threat from an alien invasion. The only way to save humanity is with Porky Pig or Daffy Duck. This sci-fi comedy stars the animated couple Porky Pig and Daffy Duck. Their antics at the local bubblegum factory reveal a hidden alien mind-control plan. They are determined to save their community (and the entire world) despite all odds. )...that's if they don't drive each other insane in the process.

It's the holiday season, and Steve Urkel, brilliant but prone to accidents has already made a mess of his local celebration by humiliating a Santa in a mall. Steve invents a way to make matters worse. Steve uses his brain and heart to find the real Santa in order to help the city rediscover its holiday spirit. Jaleel will be the producer. He will also voice the iconic role of the super genius.

The Grinch attempted to demolish a Christmas spirit in a city. Steve Urkel was able to succeed where the Grinch failed.



It is not known when these new series, movies and specials will be aired. We'll have to wait until Acme Night. The programming block starts September 19. Acme packages seem to be delivered fairly quickly, according to all the cartoons I've seen.
