Joe Rogan says he has COVID-19, took discredited horse dewormer drug to treat it

Joe Rogan, a popular podcast host, tested positive for coronavirus.
Rogan shared an Instagram video Wednesday in which he said that he felt sick after returning from a Florida series. This was a day after he had been in Florida for a few shows, which has seen a significant increase in COVID-19 cases.

Rogan stated in the video that he experienced fevers and sweats throughout the night. Rogan said that he was unable to communicate with his family because he was alone in his home.

Rogan claimed that he tried to throw everything at it, including Monoclonal antibody, Z-Pak and prednisone. I received a NAD drip as well as a vitamin drip, and that was three days consecutively. We are now on Wednesday and I feel fantastic.

Ivermectin, a medication used to deworm horses, is not recommended for humans. The Food and Drug Administration warned about its toxic effects, warning that it can cause serious injury.

Rogan, who is a self-described "fing moron", admitted that he wasn't qualified to provide medical advice in April after being attacked for suggesting that young healthy people shouldn't be vaccinated. He said that he was not considered a reliable source of information, even for him.
