With the addition of many new lamps, strips and lights, Philips Hue's smart bulbs are growing. It's a lot of stuff. Here's a quick overview:
New filament bulbs with the ability to change color temperature (plus a new shape for filament bulbs).
For color-temperature change and full color versions, there are brighter options (75W and 100W equivalents).
A light tube to illuminate around your TV. It is meant to match the colors on the screen.
Signe table and floor lamps enhanced versions that can display multiple colors simultaneously
The Hue ambiance gradient lightstrip is an upgraded TV-focused light strip that can display multiple colors simultaneously.
Infuse is a new ceiling light that can change colors and shine some light up to the ceiling
These products will be available in the next months. Some of the brighter bulbs, filament bulbs, and lightstrips are already available. The ceiling and light tube are coming in January.
Signify, the company behind Hue, has also released an update to its Hue app. This will allow dynamic scenes that let lights constantly change colors. The company will launch a natural lighting scene later in the fall that will allow your lights to adjust their color temperature to match the sun's light throughout the day. It will have cooler tones during the morning and warm tones at night.
The Hue Play HDMI syncbox, which syncs lights to your TV screen, will also be updated later in the fall to support 120Hz gaming. It will only be able to support 1440p resolution at this high refresh rate. You'll need to decide what priority to give. Although it supports 4K gaming at 60Hz, the box does not support 4K.
Signify announced a partnership to sync its lights with Spotify.
