Brian Flores tells Miami Dolphins Tua Tagovailoa is 'our quarterback' during team meeting, sources say

In a short but powerful message to his players and staff, Brian Flores, Dolphins coach, addressed recent reports linking Miami to a possible trade for Deshaun.
Flores' comments were not too extensive and he did not discuss details with the team about the background of the team’s involvement in discussions with the Texans regarding Watson.

Flores' comments less than two weeks prior to the start of the season indicated that Tagovailoa would be able to prove his worth as the Dolphins starter.

A source from the team also confirmed that Steve Ross, an owner, has not expressed any interest in trading Watson's stock, contrary to reports on Tuesday.

According to a source, Ross has been supportive of Tagovailoa and would allow Flores and Chris Grier to evaluate the quarterback.

The Dolphins will open the season against the New England Patriots in Sept. 12.
