New United QuestSM card
The new United QuestSM Card sits between the primary consumer UnitedSM Explorer Card ($95 annually) and the premium United ClubSM Unlimited Card ($525 annually), which comes with United Club Access.
United QuestSM Card, which costs $250 annually, has a temporary offer of up 100,000 bonus miles.
After making $5,000 in purchases within the first three months of account opening, you get 80,000 miles
You get 20,000 miles if you spend $10,000 within the first six months
Although the initial 80,000 miles offer is great on its own, adding 100,000 to your total makes more sense. $10,000 per month is only $1667 so it is not impossible.
United Polaris Business Class
The card offers strong earning potential for airline products, including 3x on United purchases, 2x on all other travel, restaurants, and selected streaming services, and 3x on United purchases. You can even get 2x bonus spending on other airlines. Chase Ultimate Rewards cards are better for earning mileage, but I'm still impressed with other airline co-brands.
This is the interesting part that makes this card a keeper:
Each account anniversary year, $125 credit for United Purchases
You will receive a 5000-mile rebate on your first two United Award redemptions every cardmember anniversary year. This includes your first anniversary.
These two benefits are worth the annual fee for United flyers, which I consider to be worth it. Those who fly United but not enough for status will also benefit.
First and second checked bags are free for cardholders and one companion booking the same.
Priority boarding
25% off your United Inflight Purchases
You can also get a $100 credit towards TSA PreCheck fees or Global Entry. It is a premium Chase Rewards card, which offers ancillary benefits that you won't find with other issuers. These include trip cancellation and interruption; lost baggage and baggage delay; trip delay; primary car rental collision; purchase coverage; extended warranty.
Chase won't approve cardmembers who have received 5 or more cards within the last 24 months (5/24). Card-specific rules say they won't approve anyone who has the card already or has received a bonus card member for it within the last 24 months. However, the United QuestSM Card is new and therefore doesn't exclude many people.
