Takehiro Tomiyasu: Arsenal agree £19.8m deal for Bologna defender with Hector Bellerin close to Real Betis move

Arsenal and Bologna have reached a deal worth 19.8 million (23m) for Bologna defender Takehiro Tomiyasu. Gunners right back Hector Bellerin is close to joining Real Betis as a loanee.
Japan international Tomiyasu will now have an Arsenal medical. Personal terms are not expected to pose a problem.

The 22-year old can play right-back or centre-back, and was a target for Tottenham in the earlier transfer window.

Tomiyasu made 64 appearances for the Italian team and was substituted in Bologna's 0-0 draw against Atalanta in Serie A.

Arsenal was also interested in Emerson Royal Barcelona right-back, but Emerson Royal preferred to move to Spurs in north London.

Tomiyasu could be arriving in Gunners' right-back Bellerin, who has had a London medical ahead of a loan transfer to Real Betis. There is also an option to purchase.

The Arsenal contract of the 26-year old expires in summer 2023, and he appears set to finish his decade-long stay at Emirates.

After joining Arsenal in 2011, Bellerin won three FA Cups.

Nelson to join Feyenoord as a loanee

After a final agreement on a loan from Arsenal, Reiss Nelson will be having a medical appointment with Feyenoord.

Nelson, an Arsenal academy product, is still on his contract for just one year.

The Gunners will however extend his contract until the summer 2023, when the loan move is completed.

Feyenoord turned their attention to Nelson after they pulled off a deal to sign Manchester United's Amad Dillo. He has been out for six weeks due to a thigh injury.
