Trump Rants About Media Spending 'All Night' On Ida Instead Of His 'Great' Taliban Deal

Trump's former President called into a conservative radio station Monday to complain about how the media spent Sunday night covering Hurricane Ida, which was deadly and devastating, rather than his great deal with the Taliban.
Trump's disastrous agreement with his administration, signed in February 2020, stated that the U.S. would leave Afghanistan on May 1, 2020. This didn't happen. After 20 years of war, the U.S. troops pulled out on Monday.

Trump said that Afghanistan was not something that could be discussed rationally. He said that the level of stupidity was unacceptable and that there was great agreement.

Many international experts and political observers blame Trump's agreement for encouraging the Taliban and setting the stage for the chaos of the U.S. military withdrawal under Trump's successor, President Joe Biden.

Kori Schake worked in the National Security Council, State Department and George W. Bush's administration. She called Trump's deal with the Taliban overly friendly one of the most scandalous diplomatic deals last week. She said that Trump had arranged for the strongest nation in the international order to be conned by a terrorist group.

Starnes also heard Trump boast to Starnes about the 68,000 people who attended his Alabama political rally. According to estimates from the Secret Service, and the Morgan County Sheriffs Office, Trump exaggerated the numbers by more than half.

He said, "We have the people." They aren't taking this.

Trump continued his ranting about the media. They are corrupt and fake, they are the worst people and they are the most corrupt.

It's the only thing that I don't understand is why. They have to hate our country. They are the enemy of the people. The corrupt media, however, shows the hurricane all night, said the former president.
