Dominic Calvert-Lewin was awarded a penalty in Everton's win at Brighton on Saturday
Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Everton's striker, has been forced to withdraw from the England squad due to a thigh injury.
The injured 24-year-old suffered injuries during Saturday's 2-0 win in Brighton. He will not be able to participate in September's World Cup qualifiers.
England will face Hungary in Budapest on Wednesday, followed by Andorra at Wembley Stadium Sunday. Next Wednesday, England will travel to Warsaw for a match against Poland.
Gareth Southgate, manager, has not yet named a replacement. He will be preparing at St George's Park using a 24-man team.
Calvert-Lewin scored his third goal in the Premier League season when he converted a penalty in the 58th minute to double Everton’s lead at Amex Stadium.
He holds 11 international caps and has scored four goals with the Three Lions.
