Apple today announced LEGO Star Wars Battles, from TT Games, Warner Bros. Games, will soon be available to Apple Arcade on the iPhone, iPad and Mac. Although no release date has been announced, users can sign up to receive notifications when the game becomes available by tapping the "get" button in the Apple Arcade listing.
Developed by TT Games Brighton, and published by Warner Bros. Games in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. The tower defense game will require players to lead their LEGO Star Wars characters in fast-paced, competitive battles. As they try to destroy the base of their enemy's base, players will be able to mix and match vehicles and characters from different eras of Star Wars.
Rey, Obi Wan Kenobi, Boba Fetch, and Darth Vader are just a few of the iconic characters that players can collect. There's also a wide range of vehicles and starships available, including the Millennium Falcon. Players will unlock new arenas as they level up and progress, based on familiar Star Wars locations, such as Scarif, Naboo and Hoth, Endor and Geonosis.
Jason Avent, Studio Head at TT Games Brighton, stated that "our team has been working hard to bring mobile gamers a new, wholly original LEGO Star Wars Experience, exclusively on Apple Arcade." "LEGO Star Wars Battles combines real-time multiplayer matches with striking visuals, LEGO Star Wars charm, and fast-paced gameplay.
Apple Arcade is $4.99/month or $49.99/year and provides access to over 200 games across all platforms, including the iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV. Additional titles are added regularly.
