New Orleans Saints to practice at Dallas Cowboys' stadium for three days after evacuating because of Hurricane Ida, report says

The New Orleans Saints will practice at the Dallas Cowboys' home for three days this week, after being evacuated by Hurricane Ida. A person familiar with the matter told The Associated Press Sunday.
According to a person speaking on behalf of the AP, the team will hold workouts Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at AT&T Stadium, before taking a break to prepare for the regular season. The club was not discussing its plans publicly. The Saints are expected to open against Green Bay at home on Sept. 12.

Ida, a Category 4 hurricane with winds up to 150 mph made landfall on Sunday south of New Orleans. It was one of the most destructive storms to hit the U.S.

Jerry Jones, Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy stated Sunday that "Call the Jones Family because no one does this better than them." "So yeah, having the opportunity to coach in New Orleans after going through the hurricane challenge, it's a tremendous amount stress on the Saints families and the entire region, the Gulf Coast area. My heart goes out for those guys. It's great to be able to help -- from the Jones family

The Saints moved the start of their Saturday preseason match against the Arizona Cardinals from 8 to 1 because of fears of the storm. ET to 1:05 p.m. ET before the game was eventually canceled.

Ida arrived 16 years after Hurricane Katrina destroyed New Orleans. For the 2005 season, the Saints had to relocate. They set up shop in San Antonio and played home games in Baton Rouge at LSU. New Orleans also played at Giants Stadium.

The Saints stayed home last year when Hurricane Zeta struck New Orleans in October. Coaches and other team officials rode out the storm using generator power at the team facility.
