Barcelona 2-1 Getafe: Memphis Depay scores winner for Ronald Koeman's side

Last update on. From the section European Football
Memphis Depay is the only player to score or assist a goal in all three of his La Liga games since Cesc Fabregas' 2011 debut.

Memphis Depay was Barcelona's victor as they defeated Getafe in La Liga.

After only 99 seconds, Sergi Roberto scored the opener for the hosts from Jordi Alba’s cross.

After a one-two match with Carles Alena (both former Barcelona players), Sandro levelled for Getafe.

Depay was able to use Frenkie de Jong’s pass well before getting into the bottom corner for the win. This was in front of around 26,000 people.

It was the first La Liga goal that a Dutch player assisted since 2009.

Barcelona, who brought in Gavi (17 years old) for a second half debut, is still unbeaten with seven points from three games. Getafe has lost all of their matches.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen of Barca, Barca's keeper, was able to return from injury after missing the first two weeks following knee surgery.

Ronald Koeman's Barca was far from convincing, but they could have won more. Ronald Araujo had a goal disallowed for offside, and Depay was volleying.
