John McGinn was a participant in all three matches of Scotland's Euro 2020 matches
John McGinn will not be able to attend the World Cup qualifier against Denmark in Scotland on Wednesday, after he contracted Covid-19.
McGinn, a midfielder, revealed that he tested positive for the virus, but has not experienced any symptoms and is "feeling fine".
It is not clear if he will be joining the squad to play in Scotland's qualifiers against Moldova and Austria.
Rangers also confirmed that right back Nathan Patterson is self-isolating, after he was identified as a close friend. He seems determined to miss out.
Patterson was a part of the Ibrox club’s Europa League match against Alashkert on Wednesday, but was not able to make Sunday's Old Firm match.
On Sunday, the squad will report to their base. Patterson's right-back Stephen O'Donnell is also doubtful after he missed his second Motherwell match in succession due to illness.
Scott McTominay, Manchester United's midfielder, and Stuart Armstrong, his Southampton counterpart, have been ruled out.
Steve Clarke's team plays the Danes in Copenhagen, hosts Moldova on Saturday, and then visits Austria three days later.
After three games, they are currently in second place in Group F - four points behind leaders Denmark. They have drawn with Austria and Israel, and beat the Faroe Islands on March.
