Racist man flings slurs and pylons at airport staff in Miami

Warning: This article contains sensitive content. Another incident with unruly passengers was recorded at Miami International Airport. An angry racist hurled slurs and punches at the airport staff.
A terrifying scene took place at Miami International Airport on Friday night. It was a vulgar display displaying anger, racism, violence, and a show of power. The video was captured on camera and shared to many social media channels including the @OnlyInDade twitter account. It shows a white man in the middle of a complete meltdown.

American Airlines Gate D23 was the scene. The video shows a clearly angry male cursing, shouting and using racist slurs. He becomes more angry and storms towards employees, menacing them, using violence, and then storms off. The man returns and grabs a pylon before trying to punch an employee.

The video ends just before the arrival of the airport police.

The following video contains racist language and cursing. It also displays violence towards airport employees.

According to multiple sources, including View from the Wing, a fellow BoardingArea.com blogger reporting on the incident, it occurred Friday night over an alleged masking incident.

Billy Corben also tweeted an alternative angle:

This brief statement was released by the official Twitter account for Miami Airport:

We stand strong with @MiamiDadePD to protect the safety and security of all areas at the airport. @FAANews reported that there were more than 3,800 incidents of unruly behavior in 21. This behavior is not acceptable at MIA. The passenger was apprehended by police. Miami Int'l Airport (@iflymia) August 28, 2021

This blog has repeatedly noted that there are still many incidents involving passengers who are not following the rules. According to the FAA, these incidents are increasing. Unfortunately, the rampant, unruly, violent, stupid, and criminal behavior seen in flying is not going away.
