George R.R. Martin Just Made a Sc-Fi Film With Vincent D’Onofrio

Howard Waldrop, a science fiction author, will be receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award from the World Fantasy Convention in November. He is also set to receive it from George R.R. Martin is celebrating a little too early. Song of Ice and Fire writer Martin announced that he has adapted Waldrops short story Night of the Cooters. This one, however, was kept quiet. Martin reports that principal photography is complete on the short film adaptation of one of Waldrops stories in Night of the Cooters. The film also features a fun name: Adventures in Babysitting. This was a short film that Vincent DOnofrio directed. It was written from a screenplay by Joe Lansdale, a horror/ sci-fi author who also wrote for Superman: The Animated Series, Batman: The Animated Series, Love, Death & Robots, Creepshow, and many other titles. DOnofrio was also cast as Sheriff Lindley. Martin's personal blog contains the first image.

Martin said, Waldrop is the only writer like him. Howard has never written the same story twice. Howard's best story? It's hard to believe. There are so many classics. Night of the Cooters was a finalist in the Hugo Award, Locus Award (didn't win either), and the title story of his second collection of short stories. H.G. It is about the time the Martians invaded Pachuco in Texas, and it was inspired by H.G.

Martin said that Waldrop was involved in the entire process, which began about five to six years ago. He explained what we can expect to see it eventually. We think you'll love our movie if you enjoyed the story.

It will be available to view at any time. Martin suggests it could be quite a while. Everything was shot on green screen so the post production process will be long.
