Matthew Mindler, a child actor, was reported missing this week. TMZ is informed by law enforcement.
His death was confirmed by the college where he studied. The university made an announcement to students: "It is with a sorrowful heart that I inform you of the passing of Matthew Mindler, 19-year-old from Hellertown (Pennsylvania), a first-year student of Millersville University. Matthew was reported missing on Thursday. Since then, a search has been ongoing for him. Matthew, a student at Manor Township, was found dead this morning, Saturday August 28th.
The official didn't disclose the cause of death nor whether foul play was suspected.
Matthew was a star opposite Paul Rudd in the movie "Our Idiot Brother."
Matthew was last seen Tuesday night, after he failed to return to his dorm. Late Wednesday, he was reported missing.
According to police, Matthew was last seen leaving his dorm on Tuesday at 8:11 pm wearing a white Millersville University sweatshirt with black stripes along the arm, a black backpack and white sneakers.
Police say Matthew attended classes Monday and Tuesday, but didn't return Wednesday.
Matthew has credits on "As the World Turns" as well as "Frequency". He was also featured in "Chad: An American Boy," a 2016 TV movie.
Matthew was 19.
