Two international caps have been awarded to Sarr for Senegal
Metz's 18-year-old defensive player Pape Matar Sharr has been signed by Tottenham.
Sarr, the fourth Spurs signing this summer, will continue to be on loan with French Ligue 1 club for the remainder of the season.
Senegal captained him, he played 25 games for Metz last year, scoring four times and all three this term.
In joining Spurs this summer, he follows Bryan Gil and Cristian Romero.
