It has excellent video capabilities, built in eMMC storage and high-end encryption.
Source: Eufy
Eufy is the most recognized brand name on this list. In case you haven't noticed, Eufy is one of Anker’s sub-brands. They are known for creating high-quality connected devices such as smart cameras and lighting and robot vacuums. For many reasons, the Eufy Video Doorbell is a top product on our top smart video doorbell list. This includes the fact that your video recordings can be stored locally up to 4GB using the built-in eMMC flash storage. You also get 2K HD video, high dynamic range, distortion correction, as well as all the connectivity you would expect from a smart phone. Eufy includes a doorbell chime, which is often an extra cost with other providers like Ring. It's a good idea to include this feature as your current doorbell chime may not be compatible with Eufy Video Doorbell. It records at a 4 to 3 aspect ratio which allows for more detail than similar cameras that have a 16-to-9 aspect ratio. This makes the picture quality excellent. The camera can display up to three seconds before you get an alert. You can also customize smart detection zones so that any squirrel or branch doesn't trip the camera. Eufy's AES256 encryption chip ensures that your video is protected. You can also control it with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Although the device can be powered by your existing doorbell wiring it does not have a battery backup option. This device is the most expensive on our list. Don't forget about any deals. If you don't care as much about video quality, you can find a 1080p version for slightly less. Pros: Built-in eMMC storage

Best with Google Assistant: Nest Doorbell Battery (Battery).
Source: Google
Google's Nest Hello Doorbell is a long-standing favorite video doorbell option. However, it has had some major drawbacks. It's very expensive. It's also old. To access the most important features of Nest Aware, including storage, you would need to subscribe to Nest Aware. There's good news if you are a resident of a Google Home/Nest ecosystem, and need local storage. This option is available with the new Nest Doorbell (Battery), but only on a limited basis. The Nest Doorbell (Battery), however, will not save you more than three hours of video history. You can add more storage to your Nest Aware Plus or Nest Aware Plus subscriptions if you need it. This subscription does not include local storage. However, AI detection and motion zones are available without a subscription. This makes it a great option for anyone who wants to test a Made by Google device but doesn't want to commit to an annual or monthly fee. The Nest Doorbell (Battery), which is available in four colors, as opposed to the two options offered by the Nest Hello, includes Snow, Linen and Ivy. It's wireless so it can be installed almost anywhere. However, you'll need to recharge it every few months. The pros: It includes AI detection and motion zones, without the need for a Nest Aware subscription
Easy installation with battery-powered power
More affordable than Nest Hello
Available in many colors
You can store video locally, but only for a short time. Cons: Nest Aware subscription is required for long-term video storage

Lorex Wi-Fi Video doorbell is the best security option
Source: Lorex
Lorex manufactures a variety of home security cameras and devices. This company's first move into video doorbells seems to be a solid one. The 1080p HD camera has a 160-degree field-of-view and plenty of storage space. You get a 16GB microSD Card with your purchase, but you can also upgrade that card to a 64GB card. Although the Lorex Wi-Fi Video Doorbell is compatible with Android and iOS apps it doesn't support Alexa, Google Assistant or any other smart voice assistant integration. This device also doesn't have a backup battery option. You can still expect everything you would from a device such as this, including motion alerts, two-way calling, infrared night vision and monitoring around the clock. A 2K model, which is nearly twice as expensive, is also available. The pros: A 160-degree view angle.

Cheapest pre-installed: MECO Video Doorbell
Source: Meco
One caveat to most cameras on this list, except for the Eufy, is that while they do have the option of on-device storage most don't. The MECO Video Doorbell comes with a 32GB microSD card pre-installed. True, it's not the cheapest on this list, but it still sits in the affordable-to-moderately-priced range (when compared to similar devices), and the fact that it comes with the microSD card in the box is one less hassle for you to deal with when ordering and setting up your new doorbell. This doorbell doesn't just have pre-installed storage. MECO comes with Eufy's doorbell chime and records at 1080p. It also has a 166-degree wide angle field of view. It also features two-way audio and IP65 weather resistance. You can record 30-second voice messages to respond when you're not there (similar to the Nest Hello). Customers complained that the rechargeable batteries didn't last as long as they were advertised. You might need to charge them every few weeks as opposed to every few months, as some customers have reported. It doesn't appear to support virtual assistants so you will have to view your footage through the app. The pros: A 32GB microSD Card included
Weather resistance IP65
Door chime included
Protect the camera from the sun and elements by covering it with a hood
There is no official support for Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant

Most versatile: ZUMIMALL Video Doorbell
Source: Amazon
Smart home security shouldn't be restricted to those with high-end devices. Fortunately, there are cheaper options that still offer the same functionality as ZUMIMALL's video doorbell. A video doorbell costs less than $100 and provides all the essentials, such as two-way audio, night vision, weatherproofing, and motion detection. We find it to be quite affordable. You can use the ZUMIMALL as a battery-powered device. However, you'll need to charge it every few months. The ZUMIMALL comes with a microSD card slot, a 32GB card pre-installed in the box, and you can swap it out for up to 128GB. A chime is also included. This can sometimes be an extra cost. The 1080p resolution is excellent for the price. The camera offers a 166 degree field of view and is IP65 dust and weather resistant. Pros: Large field of view
