Rudy Giuliani Denies Drinking Problem In The Weirdest Possible Way

Rudy Giuliani (the former mayor of New York, and current sideman for Donald Trump), denied that he had a drinking problem during a recent interview with NBC New York.
I am not an alcoholic. Giuliani said that he is a functioning... Giuliani then changed his mind mid-sentence, and added: I probably function better than 90% of the population.

He also denied that some of his more wild TV moments were due to booze.

He said that he doesn't think I have ever drunkenly done an interview. Sometimes... I don't drink as much as I used to. Scotch is something I enjoy, so I love Scotch.

Interview was conducted outside New York City, just before the 20th anniversary of 9/11.

Some passersby wanted to take selfies with the former mayor.

Others smirked.

Borat 2 was a great film. Someone shouted at me, referring to the Sacha Baron Cohen scene.

Reports that alcohol may have fuelled his erratic behavior in recent years have plagued the former mayor.

CNBC was told by three unnamed Republican sources that Trump allies wanted Giuliani's media appearances to defend the president in 2019. This was due to concerns that he was drinking and going on TV.

Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker, Washington Post reporters, write that some thought Giuliani might have been too drunk at a White House event during the election night. He urged Trump to simply say "We won."

Trump didn't win.

Joe Scarborough, MSNBC's Joe Scarborough, stated in 2018 that Trump rejected Giuliani's nomination for a Cabinet position because of his drinking habits.

Giuliani said that he was insulted. It is extremely offensive. There is no evidence that I drink too much alcohol. This is absurd.
