Foldable smartphones can be expensive. The Z Fold 3 by Samsung is priced at $1,799.99. This is much more than what you would pay for other computers. This phone can also be used as a tablet.

The Z Fold 3's design is outstanding. The camera is located under the display, allowing for an all-display design. It's beautiful and hides well, but maximizes screen space.

The Z Fold 3 is a booklike device that has the sides folded in an inward direction. The outside display measures 6.2 inches when folded and 7.6 inches when unfolded. The display was brighter, more vibrant, and sharper than Samsung's Z Fold 2.

The Z Fold 3 is comparable to other smartphones except for the fold and in-display cameras. It features a 120Hz display and three 12-megapixel rear lenses. The front camera is 10-megapixels. It has IPX8 water resistance and a 4,400mAh lithium battery. The protective display film is also more durable than Samsung's previous foldable devices.

Samsung's Z Fold 3 foldable supports the S Pen. Samsung also designed an S Pen specifically for this new smartphone. The tip retracts slightly while you write to protect the display. It also has the same S Pen functionality as other Samsung smartphones. However, the S Pen is an optional accessory and does not come with any storage.

Samsung's folding function was better this year. The folding mechanism feels stronger and will withstand more damage.

The Z Fold 3 is still a niche product that many people won't want to spend the money for at this price, but it's an improvement on the Z Fold 2. Samsung has had a few years experience in foldable device development so it will be interesting for anyone to ever see an Apple foldable iPhone.
