Jorginho won the Champions League alongside Chelsea and Euro 2020 together with Italy
Jorginho, a Chelsea and Italy midfielder, has been named Uefa men’s Player of Year 2020-21.
Jorginho, 29 years old, beat Blues teammate N'Golo Kante to the top award. He was also defeated by Kevin de Bruyne from Manchester City.
After leading Chelsea to the Champions League, Thomas Tuchel was awarded the men's coach award.
Alexia Putellas, Barcelona's captain, won the Women's Player Award.
Chelsea dominate individual awards
Jorginho was a player for both club and country 56 times last season. He scored nine goals and won the Champions League with Chelsea as well as the European Championship with Italy.
The new season began with Tuchel's Super Cup win in Belfast, which was his third Uefa Trophy of the Year.
Chelsea teammate Edouard Mendy was awarded goalkeeper of year for keeping nine clean sheets in the run to winning the Champions League. France's Kante was also named midfielder and goalkeeper of year.
After helping Manchester City to the Champions League final, Ruben Dias was named Defender of the Year.
Blues manager Tuchel was awarded men's coach the year for his efforts in leading his team to victory over Manchester City in Porto, just four months after Frank Lampard became manager.
Erling Braut Hairland, 21 years old, of Borussia Dortmund was named forward for the year.
Aleksander Ceferin presented the Uefa President's Award to Simon Kjaer, Denmark's captain, and the medical team that saved Christian Eriksen's lives during Euro 2020.
Barca wins women's awards in a close sweep
Barcelona won all but one of the women's awards.
Alexia Putellas won the Women's Player of Year award and was also named the midfielder of year.
Sandra Panos, her teammate, was named goalkeeper and Defender of the Year respectively.
After winning the Primeria Division title, Manager Lluis Cortes was named Coach of the Year. He also led his team to their first Champions League victory with victory over Chelsea in Gothenburg.
Irene Paredes, Paris St-Germain's defender of the Year, took the trophy to stop Barca from achieving a clean sweep.
