Abbott bans Covid vaccine mandates in Texas, regardless of FDA approval status

Texas Governor Greg Abbott, Texas Governor, issued a ban on Covid vaccine mandates by any State or Local Government entity on Wednesday. This was just days after Pfizers shot was fully approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
After the governor, who is currently recovering from his own Covid case, cited the vaccine as the cause of his mild and brief infection, the executive order was issued.

Pfizer News Monday raised doubts about Abbott's executive order banning vaccines in emergency use authorization. But the governor's new order bans Covid mandates regardless of their approval status. The order permits exceptions for nursing homes or other long-term care facilities.
