Researchers warn that Apple's soon-to be launched algorithm to detect images of child abuse on iPads and iPhones could incorrectly flag users as having illegal images.

NeuralHash will launch in the US along with an iOS and iPadOS update later in the year. This tool will compare a haveh, a unique string made by an algorithm from every image uploaded to cloud, with a database that contains hashes of known images.
