Alexandra Datig, the ex-fiance of radio talk host Larry Elder, filed a police report Wednesday alleging that he had domestic abuse while living with Republican California governoral candidate. Politico reported.
Dating claimed last week that Elder had pointed a loaded gun at her in 2015. This led to her breaking off her engagement. After Elder's public denial, Datig said she filed a report with Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). According to Politico, she told police she received threats following Elder's denial.
Datig tweeted, "I'm the one who doesn't have to be honest about my past." Larry is!
She shared her police statement with Politico and revealed that Elder checked to see if she could see the gun while they were arguing.
He opened the drawer and found his.45 caliber revolver. She said that he made sure that the firearm was visible to me and opened the rotating cylindrical part of the revolver to check for cartridges.
She wrote that "He closed the cylinder again to make sure that the firearm was visible to me, then proceeded with putting the firearm back into the drawer."
She also spoke out about other abuses, such as Elder's pressure to have an open relationship and unwanted sexual activity, according to Politico. Datig said she had rejected Elder's advances.

According to the Los Angeles Times' report, the LAPD confirmed that it was investigating Datig’s claims but couldn’t provide any details at this time.
Datig stated that he swindled him in an interview with KCRA 3 last Wednesday. He tried to silence me. He tried to silence my voice. He tried to convince me that he would put his minions on my back, which made me feel afraid for my life.
Elder issued a statement via his campaign in response to Datig's claims.
"I have never pointed a gun at anyone. I was raised in South Central and know how destructive this kind of behavior can be. "It's not me and everybody who knows me knows that it's me," said the statement.
He continued, "These are salacious allegations." People don't get into public life because of this kind of politics of personal destruction. This is not something I will do to respond. It's beyond me. My opponents and Newsom's campaign want to distract voters, but I will remain focused on the issues that prompted 1.7 million Californians petitioning for recall."
Last week, the radio talk show host caused controversy after comments he made in 2002's "Showdown" book resurfaced. He argued that pregnant women should inform their employers about their plans. The Associated Press asked him last Wednesday if he was still standing by his statements. He replied that the government should not interfere in the relationship between employee and employer.
To recall Gavin Newsom, Elder is running for the California gubernatorial election. On September 14, voters will head to the polls. Current polls show Elder leading the charge to succeed Gavin Newsom as governor.
