You can install Find My Device on any device that runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and later. This means that approximately 99% of Android devices with a total of 2.5 billion are eligible for Find My Device.

After installing, you will need to log in to Find My Device using your Google account. You'll see a drop-down menu that allows you to select which account you wish to associate with your phone if you have more than one account.

Find My Device - How to check if your device is searchable
After you sign in to Find My Device you will see a map showing your current location, along with the make and model of the phone. There are two options: Play Sound or Enable Lock & Erase. You can access the Lock and erase functions by hitting the last option.
You can choose a specific device by looking at the list at top of the screen if you have more than one signed in phone.

Find My Device - How to Ring Your Phone
Find My Device's best feature is its accessibility. You can log in from any other phone to find your phone on the website. After you have signed in to Find My Device, you will be able to use the Play Sound option. This plays a loud tone continuously on your phone for five minutes, even if the ringer is off. To stop the ringing, press the power button once you have located your phone.

How to remotely erase data from your phone
You can erase your data remotely if you are certain that you won't see it again. All data on your phone will be erased by selecting Erase.
