Ohhhhhhhhhh!
The sixth inning of the standard 1-1 game between New York Yankees & Atlanta Braves was about to start, and Truist Park's fans collectively groaned.

It was not because of a 14th Austin Riley mistake this season nor their team wasting an opportunity to win their 10th consecutive win. However, that did occur later in the inning. It was because a fan once again given the classic one-million-yard-looking headstart against The Freeze had the once-in-a-lifetime chance at beating him in the famous warning-track race and busted his ass right in front of the finish line.
Even with a clear lead, you could see that the fan was getting tired towards the end. As the fan was closing in on the victory, the crowd began to raise a few decibels. Then, he was able to pass the Coca-Cola sponsorship. It was almost as if his legs hadn't run this far in the longgggggggggg before pandemic. They simply wobbled him down, causing him collapse like Flix Gallardos empire at Narcos: Mexico. It's not that The Freeze has ever lost before, but it is rare for him to do so. This race is supposed be like many others.
The Athletics tweeted that it was so close. It is fair to wonder if it should have been. This was not the first occasion a fan should win and eat dirt right before the tape. The Freeze should not be washed because he cannot lose to guys who look like New York City's podcast studio audio engineers. Is the Freeze allowed afterward to showboat? It looked like he was going down, minus the last fall.
The Yankees won the game 5-1. The Braves are still 4.5 games away from the second-place Philadelphia Phillies in an uninspiring NL East. So what does that matter?
