According to Weibo, the Apple Watch Series 7 will be available in larger 41mm- and 45mm cases. This replaces the 40mm and 44m options that were offered with the Apple Watch Series 4.
UnclePan is the one who shares the account sharing information. He has previously shared information about Apple's plans. The leaker posted this week that the forthcoming Series 7 would be available in 41mm and 45mm cases.
Apple offered 38mm and 42mm sizes of cases up until the Apple Watch Series 4. The Series 4 2018 model had a larger display and case sizes. There were 40mm and 44mm options. Compatibility with older Apple watches has been a hallmark of the Apple Watch, and it has remained so through every generation.
All Apple Watch bands compatible with the Series 4 have been compatible for the same size case since the Series 4. The leaker claims that this will continue to be true for the Apple Watch Series 7. Bands designed for Apple Watch 40mm and 44mm Apple Watches will work with the newer 41mm, 45mm sizes.
It is not surprising that the case sizes have increased. The upcoming Apple Watch will feature smaller bezels with a flat-edged design. This will allow for greater display area.
Jon Prosser, an Apple leaker, claims that the Apple Watch Series 7 will come in a new, green-colored case. It will feature a flat-edged design and a larger display. Prosser shared renderings of the future Apple Watch earlier in May.
At the next digital Apple Event, the Apple Watch Series 7 will be announced along with the iPhone 13. We expect other new products in the next few months such as new iPads and updated AirPods.
