Nearly half (48%) holidaymakers who took a UK domestic cruise in the summer intend to book another one in the next 12 months.
After polling more than 1,400 customers, cruise.co.uk revealed the findings.
As they resumed service, more than a dozen cruise companies offered round-Britain sailings. This was despite international cruise restrictions that had been in place.
Before then, sailings around the UK were more popular with passengers who are based abroad than those who live in the UK.

Research showed that passengers who took a seacation cited the on-board service as the highlight. Nearly three quarters (74%) said it was one of their top features.
The next was the quality and quantity of food and drinks (57%), followed closely by the onboard facilities (52%).
Cruise.co.uk also asked respondents to rate onboard safety measures. The average score was 8.9. This is a vote of confidence in the industry's efforts to ensure that people can sail again.
According to the company, seven-night UK coast cruises that last seven nights are highly sought-after are offered by line including P&O Cruises and Cunard as well as Celebrity, Celebrity, and MSC.
Tony Andrews, Deputy managing director, stated that Seacations were a huge success this year. It was a delight to receive so many positive comments from guests. It has been a great combination of outstanding onboard service, dining and facilities, as well as the wellbeing and health measures that have proven to be a winning formula.
We are optimistic that seacations will become a popular option for holidaying in the UK with staycations well-established.
