Chinese electric carmaker Xpeng starts exporting flagship P7 sedan for the first time

A Xpeng P7 electric vehicle is displayed at the 18th Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition, China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province.
GUANGZHOU, China Xpeng Inc. started shipping its flagship sedan P7 to Europe on Tuesday. This is a sign of the Chinese electric carmaker’s ambition to expand internationally.

The P7 models will be shipped from Guangzhou, China to Norway. This is the first shipment of Xpeng's flagship sedan to a foreign market.

Norway is Xpeng’s first international market. It has delivered some units of the G3 SUV to Norwegian customers. According to government data, 54% of all new cars sold in 2020 were electric. This makes Norway a very attractive market for automakers.

Xpeng's competitor Nio plans to start delivering cars to Norway in the same year.
