Just over a week after renderings of the Fitbit Charge 5 were leaked online, a video appears to show the Fitbit Charge 5. The video showcases some features of the new wearable including stress management scores and daily readiness, as well ECG capabilities. The leaker also revealed that the device would cost $179.
Although the Charge 5's $179 price tag is $50 higher than the Charge 4, it features a color screen and support for ECGs. According to the video, the Charge 5 will have built-in GPS just like the Charge 4.

Apple Watch is severely lacking the concept of rest days
The new feature is the Daily Readiness Score. This feature is available only to subscribers to Fitbit Premium at $10 per month or $80 per year. The Fitbit will calculate your score based on your sleep and exercise history. It will also recommend the type of exercise that you should do each day. The Fitbit might recommend light yoga instead of a run of 15 miles if you have been working out hard or slept poorly the previous night.
The Apple Watch is missing the concept of rest days or days when you are just not feeling well. A color screen would help the Charge 5 get closer to the smartwatch category. Fitbit Premium competes with Apples Fitness Plus, which offers audio and video workouts you can follow (as well access to a coach for $45 per month).
Although the video does not mention a release date for the device, this leak and the latest renders seem to suggest that it will be available sooner than expected.
