Willian: Corinthians in talks with Arsenal over free transfer for Brazil forward

Arsenal and Brazilian club Corinthians are discussing a possible deal for Willian.
Discussions were held to discuss a free transfer that would allow Willian to return home to his homeland.

Arsenal is ready to let the forward go in order to pay his wages.

Although there is still much to do before a deal can be concluded, all parties believe that an agreement can be reached before the transfer deadline.

After moving from Chelsea to London last year, the 33-year old has had a difficult time making an impact at The Emirates.

Willian could be one among a few players who leave the club before the window closes. Lucas Torreira is close to joining Fiorentina, while Crystal Palace are interested in signing Eddie Nketiah as a striker.

Sky Sports has the summer transfer window.
