Poveda moved to Leeds from Manchester City in January 2020.
Blackburn signed the Leeds winger Ian Poveda to a season-long loan agreement.
Since joining Marcelo Bielsa's team from Manchester City in January 2020, the 21-year old has played 20 matches for Marcelo Bielsa.
Victor Orta, Leeds director of football, believes Poveda will make an impact at Elland Road in future.
Orta stated, "We have been impressed by how Blackburn has developed players like Harvey Elliott at Liverpool."
"We hope Ian gets some game time so that he can come back next season, ready to fight."
Elliott scored seven goals in 41 Championship games for Blackburn and earned his Premier League debut for Liverpool last weekend.
Poveda has been capped four times by England Under-20s and may make his Blackburn debut against Middlesbrough.
Tony Mowbray's Rovers have been placed ninth in the early Championship table, having collected seven points from their four first games.
