Lucas Torreira, Arsenal's midfielder, is in close proximity to joining Fiorentina as a loanee.
The deal for the 25 year-old also includes an option to purchase for 12.8m
Eintracht Frankfurt made an offering, but Torreira preferred a return to Italy.
The Uruguayan international, Sampdoria, joined Arsenal in July 2018. He has played 63 games for Arsenal.
He was however loaned to Atletico Madrid last season and is not part of Mikel Arteta’s plans.

Crystal Palace is still interested in signing Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah.
Since his 2017 debut, Nketiah has had difficulty securing a regular place in Arsenal's first team. He is currently in the last year of his Emirates contract.
Palace is interested in signing the 22 year-old, but they have a gap between their valuation and Arsenal's asking prices of around 20m.
Unnamed European clubs have had two bids for Nketiah rejected, but they are expected to come back with another offer.
Nketiah and Arsenal were in talks earlier this summer about a new contract, but there was no resolution. Sky Sports News has been informed by a source that Nketiah will be leaving the club in the summer.
