According to ABC News, Southwest Airlines stated that it would charter domestic flights from the US for Afghan evacuees.
According to the airline, it will fly passengers arriving in the US to their destinations cities starting Monday.
Six commercial airlines have been enlisted by the DoD to aid its rescue efforts.

According to ABC News, Southwest Airlines will charter domestic flights for Afghan evacuees who arrive in the US after their evacuation.
According to a statement by ABC's Sam Sweeney, the airline stated that it would operate the flights for the Department of Defense (DoD), starting Monday, and transport Afghan refugees to their destinations cities.
ABC reported that "We are proud of supporting our military's critical humanitarian flightlift mission, and are grateful to our employees for showing an eagerness to help these military efforts."
On August 15, the Taliban took control of Kabul, Afghanistan's capital, prompting mass evacuation. The US and other nations have attempted to rescue thousands of Afghan refugees as well as their nationals from the Taliban.
Kabul's airport has become a chaotic scene as desperate Afghans attempt to flee the country. According to Germany's military, an Afghan officer was killed by "unknown attackers" at Kabul airport on Monday.

According to ABC, Southwest stated in the statement that it will charter four flights Monday and four more Tuesday and Wednesday. It stated that Southwest doesn't expect charter flights to disrupt its commercial operations.
ABC reported that the airline stated it would not give specific locations for passengers.
Sunday's announcement by the DoD stated that six commercial airlines would be joining its ranks to assist in the ongoing rescue operations in Afghanistan. In a statement, the department stated that American Airlines and Atlas Air, Delta Air Lines and Omni Air, Hawaiian Airlines and United Airlines would transport those who have already left Afghanistan. They would not fly to Kabul.
Insider reached out to Southwest for comment but they did not respond immediately.
