A preschool that is exclusive to children will teach them skills such as grit, adaptability and empathy in order to live in the digital age.
Trehaus preschool, Singapore, accepts children aged between two and six years old. Insider reported that the school will begin accepting students in September.
The preschool charges $1,867 per monthly for a full-day program, and $1,711 per month for a half day program.

The school calls itself a "Silicon Valley inspired preschool" and its curriculum was developed by early education specialists from Stanford's Bing Nursery School and Silicon Valley's Khan Lab School.
Six programs at the school are named after CEOs, engineers, philanthropists, athletes, creatives, and chefs. They aim to teach children skills such as entrepreneurship and coding.
Carolina Sam, Trehaus' head of school, stated that grit, which "encompasses determination toughness and resilience", would help children to see failures and mistakes in an optimistic way.

Dr. Elaine Kim, founder of Trehaus, stated that the preschool hopes to prepare children in a "disrupted future by technology", where soft and not so hard skills will be more important than hard skills.
Kim stated that more than half of the jobs [sic] that will be available in the next 50-years don't exist today. "The skills that children learn in our program are going to prepare them for the future."
Trehaus stated that "loving" or "nurturing teachers will be co-parents to help children learn quickly.
The school boasts a teacher to student ratio of 1:5, which is more than twice the minimum.

The guidelines of the country stipulate that preschools should have a ratio of teacher-child at least 1:2 for children aged 2 to 3, 1:8 for children aged 3 to 4, 1:20 for 5 year-olds, and 1:15 for 6 years-olds.
