According to local reports, a 17-year old boy led police in a high-speed chase with the body of a deceased teen in his pickup truck's bed on Friday.

Reports of a shooting in Palm Beach County on Friday night prompted the chase.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, they were called by someone who saw a shooting and then witnessed the shooter and their accomplice trying drag the victim's body into the canal.

The tweet thread said that the two men had done this instead of responding to the scene. They put the body in a Ford F-150 pickup truck, and then fled the scene.

The vehicle was eventually tracked down by Sheriff's Deputies, who then chased the suspect.

According to WPBF, after speeding northbound on I-95 for 50 miles, deputies were in a position to perform a pit maneuver to stop the vehicle.

"Both suspects have been taken into custody, and the body of the victim was found in the truck bed," PBSO tweeted.

The victim has not yet been identified.
