Super Glitter Rush might be the best name for a game such as this. Kudos to dev team for nailing that nail. You feel a sugar rush, adrenaline rush, and your blood racing in a fit. You're likely to be right about what you think you see when you read "Super Glitter Rush." Super Glitter Rush, a colorful, loud and often infuriating bullet-hell, has been nominated by Google Play for the Indie Games Festival. Super Glitter Rush is action-packed from beginning to end, despite not having any narrative depth. However, it does its job well of being bullet-hell-themed with an original approach. The intense experience is likely to make it onto our list of top Android games very soon. VPN Deals: Monthly plans starting at $16 for a lifetime license and more
Glitter Rush's presentation is where it shines. Glitter Rush is a feast for the eyes and ears. It features incredibly bold pixel art and a killer chiptune soundtrack. Even the menu music is slapped! The character designs are both quirky and cute. There's plenty of playable characters that you can unlock and each one has their own special abilities. Super Glitter Rush has vibrant pixel art and a great chiptune soundtrack you will want to listen to every day. However, the basic gameplay remains the same regardless of how you slice it. The bottom screen shows your character moving side-to-side. It is controlled only by a virtual joystick (old-school joystick) and one button (one that looks like it was taken straight from an arcade cabinet). It's easy to use: just move your joystick in any direction you like, and then hit the button to fire your laser beam.

Space Invaders-style, your foe is located at the top of the screen and will bring chaos upon you. Super Glitter Rush doesn't have "levels" as such. This is more of a boss rush game, where you blast your way through 30 bosses who are just as adorable and quirky as your main characters. While dodge is an important part of taking down these baddies it's not the main strategy. Your character has a limited amount of life and must have a meter to launch your attacks. You can use a completely insane special attack if you have filled your meter to the max. Your meter is filled by collecting gems from bosses. These are different colored attacks that you can use among others. Your attack power will increase if you can counter the boss's attacks using your own blasts. This will allow you to survive any oncoming assaults. Also, remember that you can make your attacks more powerful by picking off the foe's bullets as they blast upward. If I am about to be dragged on by a hailstorm I don't know how to dodge, I should launch a timely attack that grabs a large chunk of the bosses bullets. This accomplishes two things. It leaves me an opening to not be destroyed and it powers up my own attack. You must time your attacks so that you pick up as many enemy shots as possible with your own attacks. This will allow you to gain more control over the space and give yourself more power.

My only complaint is that the virtual joystick sometimes doesn't go in the right direction. It is extremely finicky how you swipe back and forth, and I have lost more than one time due to a control error. This could be an issue with the controller. However, I experience similar problems on the menu screen. It would be nice to have the responsiveness improved. Super Glitter Rush isn't trying to be more than it is. It's a fun arcade game that explodes with bullets. That's something I can appreciate. You can also get it for free, which is a huge advantage! It's a great free Android game. However, you can pay to remove ads or support the developer. This is something I am always willing to do, especially when it comes down to indies. Super Glitter Rush is free to try and easy to access.
